National Weather Service surveying damage in St. Johns County neighborhood because of these videos

Three videos shown to National Weather Service Jacksonville Thursday morning by First Coast News, On Your Side's Lauren Rautenkranz, enabled the agency to survey. The National Weather Service (NWS) Jacksonville will be surveying storm damage in a St. Johns County neighborhood after new videos were shown to the NWS. The agency has yet to confirm that any significant damage was reported, aside from down trees. A tornado watch was in effect for several counties across the First Coast until 5 p.m. Wednesday. The NWS will determine further damage after surveying.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — National Weather Service (NWS) Jacksonville will be surveying storm damage in a St. Johns County neighborhood Thursday after First Coast News, On Your Side's Lauren Rautenkranz showed the agency new videos from Wednesday's inclement weather on the First Coast.

Originally at 4 a.m. Thursday, NWS told First Coast News there wasn't any "significant" damage reported Wednesday aside from down trees that requires an on-the-ground survey.

The three videos below is what was shown to the NWS:

A tornado watch was in effect for several counties across the First Coast until 5 p.m. Wednesday. And although the videos show what could be a tornado, the NWS has yet to confirm that; this is part of the process in which they'll determine after surveying.
