A man in his 20s was pepper-sprayed and shot while trying to buy earbuds in Jacksonville, Florida, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO). The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred at 6500 Erma St. and occurred during a "meeting" with someone. The man was with his brother at the time of the incident. Violent crimes and crime scene unit detectives are currently canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after he was pepper-sprayed and shot on Jacksonville's Westside while trying to buy earbuds in a "meeting" with someone, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO's Sergeant Lloyd says officers responded to where the shooting occurred at 6500 Erma St. around 2 p.m. He says the man in his 20s was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as he "suffered a gunshot wound to the wrist and calf."
Police say the man was with his brother at the time the meeting/shooting happened.
JSO says violent crimes and crime scene unit detectives were on scene, canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video, as the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
