First Alert Weather: Tracking only some beneficial rain
First Alert Weather Meteorologist Trevor Gibbs said isolated coverage of showers and storms are expected through the remainder of Tuesday. First Alert Weather Meteorologist Trevor Gibbs has warned that rain chances are expected to decrease for the remainder of the week, with scattered showers and storms expected throughout the week. These will likely occur on Wednesday and Thursday, but many coastal areas, including Jacksonville, are unlikely to receive much of the rain. The Father’s Day weekend is expected to be largely dry, with strong winds forecasting a strong increase in onshore winds keeping a moderate risk of rip currents at beaches. A weak low pressure is expected later this week to cross the state of FL and enter the SW Atlantic offshore the SE US, but there is a low chance of tropical development.
