Jacksonville Beach 1 of 10 cities selected to sell the 'Smoothie Keg'

The Smoothie Keg can mix spirits with smoothies for a "tasty, better-for-you cocktail," according to a news release. The recently renovated Smoothie King in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, has been selected as one of 10 sites in the country to launch SmoothieKing's new 'Smoothie Keg' which can mix spirits with smoothies for a better-for-you cocktail. The new'smoothie keg' was created with the idea of customers taking home a Smoothie KEG to mix their favorite spirit with their smoothie. Starting June 12th, Smoothie Kings will offer a free Smoothie Kreg with the purchase of a SmoothIE Six-Pack, so customers can no longer buy six-packs of beer, cider, or seltzer. The Smoothie Cracks are available at the following locations while supplies last.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Summertime may have gotten sweeter in Jacksonville Beach.

The recently renovated Smoothie King at 1020 Third St. South was chosen as one of 10 sites in the country to help launch Smoothie King's new 'Smoothie Keg' this summer.

The world's leading smoothie brand, according to Smoothie King's website, wants you to "Rule The Day" as a news release states Smoothie Keg was created with the idea that customers can take home a Smoothie Keg and mix their favorite spirit with their smoothie.

Their idea is for cocktails to not only be "delicious," but "nutritious," too.

"Starting June 12th Smoothie King is offering a free Smoothie Keg with the purchase of a Smoothie Six-Pack, so you can say goodbye to six-packs of beer, cider, or seltzer," the release states.

Smoothie King says the Smoothie Keg is available at the following locations while supplies last:
