Man accused in deadly 2023 Adams Run shooting was arrested in Florida

Deandre Antuan Cochran, 33, is charged with murd… Deandre Antuan Cochran, 33, is facing murder charges in relation to a 2023 shooting that left a 64-year-old man dead. Cochran was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, following a call about an individual trespassing and booked into a Florida jail on separate offenses. He was served with a murder warrant out of Charleston County once his Florida charges were adjudicated. Despite being cleared of his charges in Jacksonville last week, Cochran signed a waiver to be extradited to South Carolina. He is currently being held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man wanted on murder charges out of Charleston County was apprehended in Jacksonville, Florida earlier this year.
Deandre Antuan Cochran, 33, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
His charges stem from an August 8, 2023, shooting in the Adams Run community that left a 64-year-old man dead.
Deputies initially responded to a location off Highway 162 near the Colleton County line. A victim was found in the passenger side of a vehicle.
Cochran was later apprehended in Jacksonville in February after law enforcement received a call about an individual trespassing. He was booked into a Florida jail on separate offenses and a hold was placed on him for Charleston County.
He was served with a murder warrant out of the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office once his Florida charges were adjudicated.
Cochran was cleared of his charges in Jacksonville last week and signed a waiver to be extradited to South Carolina. He is currently being held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
